Form is the point

A new trail shoe to close a six-season conversation, a mountain watch that finally looks considered, and three other objects from houses that still care how things are made.

Le Brief

N° 12 · 3 Sept 2026

Good morning.

This week’s Brief is five objects. None of them needed another logo. All of them asked what the thing should look like if you actually used it.

On × Post Archive Faction Cloudsoma closes Current Form. Six seasons of Seoul and Switzerland, ended with a trail shoe in cobble, linen, and black. $200. A stone loop on Tenerife instead of a sequel.

Satisfy × Coros Apex 4 is Coros’s first collab: burnt olive, crystallized titanium, two bands, $520. Forty-one dollars more than the standard mountain watch, and it finally looks like it belongs on a wrist that also wears Satisfy.

Puma × SAYSKY Back to Business is the last chapter of that pairing — pinstripes, a dark Deviate Elite, a MagMax for the days that aren’t race day. Copenhagen’s idea of a uniform.

Song for the Mute × adidas Running RUN02 is titled Run In Love. Handwritten marks, washed layers, shoes that look inherited. Not a personal best.

Garmin × Carnival Forerunner 170 was one hundred box sets in Bangkok. Sold through. A reminder that a running watch can be a designed object without becoming a raffle.

If it’s just a colorway, it still isn’t here.

See you next week.
