The North Face’s first Engineered Garments collab is a road shoe, not a logo jacket. VECTIV Forward EG keeps the rocker, DREAM foam, 3D Pebax and carbon plate, SurfaceCTRL outsole — then Daiki Suzuki’s house adds a tongue cover that clips the lace holes so the same pair runs laced or as a slip-on.
Colour is EG Navy × TNF Black (NF52601EG). Japan only, for now: presale Friday 11 September 2026 at THE NORTH FACE FOOTWEAR Shinsaibashi and ENGINEERED GARMENTS TOKYO; nationwide and Goldwin / Nepenthes the next day. List is ¥38,500 tax in. No USD MSRP published — we are not inventing one.
Shinsaibashi also hosts a Peter Sutherland installation and zine through 27 September. Utility first; the New York pictures are the clothes around it.
