Castor + Polar, crushed EVA

Midsoles become a sofa. Karimoku New Standard crushes ASICS deadstock into a cotton and EVA cushion for its Castor and Polar seats, tuned with ASICS's sports scientists until it sat right.

Unused ASICS shoes — deadstock and samples — are dismantled, crushed and sorted. EVA foam is blended with cotton and paired with a three-millimetre compressed sheet, then set into the Castor Lobby Sofa and Polar Lounge Chair L/S. An embroidered KNS × ASICS tag finishes each piece. Made to order.

No official euro list is on the KNS site or its EU dealers (Silvera and CIDER in Paris, Andreas Murkudis in Berlin, and the rest of the published dealer sheet). The card therefore holds the Japan floor from the 16 January 2026 KNS price list: Polar Lounge Chair S Mode ¥154,000 tax in, through Castor Lobby Sofa 3-seater Coda 2 ¥694,100.
